Marinochem Limited (formally Dynea Ireland Limited) was built at Marino Point, Cobh, Co.Cork, to manufacture aminoplast resin adhesives for the panel board (MDF and chipboard) and firelighter industries.
Our resins, manufactured entirely at our Cork plant, provide effective high performance solutions for a variety of adhesive applications in a range of bulk batch sizes.
Marinochem’s panel board resins are used by customers to bond wood chips, recycled materials, and strands (or combinations of some of these elements) to produce particle board, medium density fibreboard (MDF), oriented strand board (OSB) and composite pallet blocks. Wood adhesives are used to bond veneers to various substrates and to assemble and manufacture items such as wood furniture, beams, doors, table tops and cabinets. Our adhesives product range covers formaldehyde-based urea, melamine, and resorcinol (phenolic) resins, in liquid and powder form.
Methanol is supplied by Marinochem directly into the Pharma industry using dedicated tanks. There are a wide range of load sizes to select from.
Technical grade urea is supplied in bulk and liquid forms for many applications within industry and agriculture.
Marinochem’s parent company, Tennants Consolidated Limited, is a privately owned conglomerate group, headquartered in London. The origins of the company go back to the late 1700’s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.
